Beginning to Read

Hello class!

It is very important to define some basic terms related to the process through which young learners develop their reading and writing skills. Please read chapter 4 in our textbook and define (in your own words) the following terms:

  • Literacy (According to Sarah Hudelson, not the dictionary definition)
  • Three functions of Literacy
  • Enviromental Print (and its effect on children)
  • Emerging Reading

  • Remember that opinions cannot be exactly the same.

Deadline: Sunday, Nov. 20th, at 11:59pm.
